Minutes of Meeting

Date: Tuesday, February 17, 2004
Place: The home of Ernesto de Keratry
Attendance: Mario de la Garza
George Grobien
Mack Wright
Hugo Casso
Roman Paez
Alberto Ortega
Robert Alexander
Francisco Barrenechea
Ernesto de Keratry

Minutes:
1. The meeting was opened at 1945 by Commander Mario de la Garza

2. Mack Wright gave the opening prayer.

3. George Grobien gave the Treasurer’s report which indicated that the Post had a balance of $360 dollars in the bank account,

4. Old Business:
Reading of the last meeting minutes by Ernesto de Keratry.
Short discussion on the outcome of the last supper party and the present sent to Ms. Lucas Ponce as a small thank you for being a gracious hostess.
Ernesto made great emphasis on the fact that unless action is take by all members, the post will disappear due to lack of involvement, interest and especially, lack of projects that may bring us together.
A vote was taken at that moment to decide whether we keep the post active, or we de-activate the Post. The result was that a unanimous decision was take to keep the Post activated.

5. New Business: Election of new officers: After a small discussion the election was made with the following results:
Commander: Mack Wright
1st. Vice Commander: Alberto Ortega
Treasurer: George Grobien
Adjutant: Ernesto de Keratry
Chaplain: Robert Alexander

6. Calendar of Activities
The following calendar of activities was discussed and approved:

1. MOTHER´S DAY DINNER to be held May 7, Place to be decided

2. MEMORIAL DAY CELEBRATION. Place will be the Church in Mitras

3. 4th OF JULY PICNIC. Legion will have a BINGO Booth. Chair is Mack Wright

4. SEPTEMBER 7 OR LABOR DAY COOK OUT Mario de la Garza´s home

5. CHRISTMAS DINNER, on Dec 2 or 7.

7. A committee was formed to help Mack Wright with the 4th of July Bingo stand:
Roberto Alexander, Francisco Barrenechea, AlbertoOrtega and Mario de la Garza

8. Short discussion was held in regards to find ways to raise funds. No thing was confirmed and left for future meetings.

Having no more business to discussed the meeting was adjourned at 8:45 PM, with a closing prayer by Mack Wright.
